Looking Back & Looking Forward

February 23, 2020 By Dani 2 Comments

I’m one of those people who likes to write and I keep a journal. Actually, I keep multiple journals because I like to do different types of writing.

One of the journals I currently keep is a 5-year journal. It started off as just a regular “recap/document my day” journal but at some point I decided to turn it into a gratitude journal instead.

As I put entries for each day I sometimes (not always, and not very often actually) will look back at the previous one or two years to see what I was I thankful for (or what I was doing at that time, if it was before I turned it into a gratitude journal).

Today was one of those days.

I could probably cross-reference this day in my blog too because the entry I have for it back in 2016 had to do with me submitting my project for my Epic Willow certification.

I wrote that I was grateful that I got a passing score though I was disappointed that I didn’t get the actual score I was aiming for. Talk about “back-handed gratitude”.

Anyway, it got me thinking about this blog and what I want to do going forward. I’ll be sending an email soon to those of you who are signed up to my email list but I also wanted to ask on here:

What Would YOU Like Me To Talk About?

Fast-forward four years from when I started this blog, are you still interested in reading solely about all things related to Epic Willow or would you like me to talk about other things related to my career as a Pharmacist?

I can tell you that it’s definitely evolved over the past four years and I’m doing more than just Epic now; but I’m still in a blend of Healthcare IT and non-traditional Pharmacy work.

I’m happy to share my experiences and how I go about finding these non-run-of-the-mill pharmacy jobs but I thought I’d gauge your level of interest.

I’m leaning toward just sharing anyway because that’s the whole purpose of this blog and website so… Get ready for it! :)

But if there are specific topics of interest you’d like me to talk about here on the blog, go ahead and let me know what they are in the comments section below.

    Hi
How about telepharmacy and what skills are you finding a must?

I work at a specialized hospital and I want to convert to telepharmacy.

      Hi Sherine,
I have just written a detailed blog post in response to your question.

I meant to write it sooner but got really busy because of the pandemic, but thank you for asking this question because I think the information will be helpful to you and a lot of others who might be wondering the same thing.

You can find the post here. Let me know if you have any other questions after reading it.
